I am writing this review 6 weeks after getting done the Gynecomastia surgery from this Clinic, by Dr Madhukumar.

I was drawn to this Clinic for my Gynecomastia condition after a little bit of research on Google and on Practo. I went through tons of reviews which were all positive and well descriptive as well. Since those reviews helped me take this decision of not only becoming more sure about the surgery but also for referring me to this Clinic and Doctor, I believe this could help other people who are going through the same condition & thoughts as I was.

1. Information

On the dot day, I visited the Clinic for the first time, I was given all the information I wanted around the subject and also about my specific case. Throughout the whole process, pre-surgery preparations, during it and post-surgery recovery, whatever information I needed, it was given to me promptly without any confusions.

2. Professionalism

The doctor and the whole staff at the Clinic is very professional. During all of my visits to the Clinic, it was very visible that each person there is working towards the same goal and that is to treat their patients well.

3. Precautions during Covid

Everytime you visit, you are given a mask replacement and you are asked to gargle with betadine and every possible precaution is followed at this place.

4. The Surgery

<I am going to add some extra details about the surgery process because it helped me going ahead with the surgery when I could read such details sitting with my laptop at home>

The Doctor with a great precision told me each detail about my case and the results I should expect post the surgery.

My surgery was done under local anaesthesia and went on for close to 2 hours. Throughout it I was awake and was interacting with the doctor and some staff members. They also played music of my choice to calm my nerves and it did help me relax as I was undergoing a surgery for the first time in life. The staff members helped me whenever I spoke of anything whether it was itching or the discomfort you feel because of staying in the same position for long. I didn't feel any kind of intolerable pain. At some point I was under pain, the doctor gave more anaesthesia in the specific area and it went away. Other than that it was sensations of the skin being pulled or stretched which is expected obviously.

Once the surgery was over, after having some food and drink, I was discharged the same day. I was on pain killers for 3 days which helped because once your body comes back from the numbness, you do feel pain or soreness. I was asked to not stress myself physically at all for a week, though I could join work in 3-4 days. Post surgery recovery is to be taken seriously and the Doctor told me exactly the same.

It has been 6 weeks now and I am well recovered to resume daily life activities with some light exercising. In a month, I can resume proper weight lifting too gradually.

5. Results

Post the surgery, my results are great and it is exactly what was explained by the Doctor. Every time I visited, the Doctor and I looked at side by side comparison of my pre and post surgery pictures and it is remarkable to see how in a short span of merely 6 weeks, my chest looks better and totally different and without any visible signs of scarring.

Final comments-

I have spent 15+ years with a grade 2 Gyno and it is traumatising. Once I am through this surgery process, it is life altering and still seems unreal at times. The only regret I have is not booking this appointment earlier in life.

I was suffering from hair loss for the last 10 years. I had visited a couple of doctors in the past for remedy, but none of the treatments yielded proper results. By the end of 2019, I had lost a significant amount of hair. This is when I started searching for a specialist and came across Dr. Madhukumar. I consulted Dr. Madhukumar for the first time during December 2019. He is courteous and the kind of doctor who listens to and understands the problem his patients really well. He explains the situation as is, clearly, does not beat around the bush and suggests practical solutions. In my case, the doctor told me that it was too late for hair re-growth treatment as I’d lost a lot of hair and hair transplant surgery was the only option. I knew this was true because none of the hair re-growth treatments that I’d undergone in the past had worked for me. He explained the whole process very clearly in my first visit and also told me what to expect in terms of the result. I thought about this over a few days and finally decided to go ahead with the surgery.

My surgery was fixed in January, and it was a combination of FUE and FUT, to get the maximum coverage on top of the head. So, the surgery had to be carried out on two alternate days to complete. The doctor was really helpful in scheduling the dates as per my convenience. Both pre- and post-surgical instructions were conveyed beforehand and the whole process went really smooth. The surgery was conducted successfully and I had to follow the post-surgery care for the next 6 months. I did not face any side effects. The doctor scheduled regular checkups and the best part is that he was available at anytime for queries or concerns on WhatsApp. I was also advised to undergo laser therapy sessions to help keep and strengthen the old hair on my scalp, which worked.

It has been 8 months since my surgery now, and the result has been quite phenomenal. It has been exactly like what the doctor had told me in the beginning. As expected, there is a nice coverage of hair on the head and I’m really satisfied with the result.

I am writing this message after 50 days of my gynecomastia surgery. I am very happy with the results and the short recovery time.I have had gynecomastia from early teens, but it took me a long time till i am 37 yrs old to do the surgery. It is life changing and I should have done this much much earlier in my life.I had visited Dr Madhukumar in 2016 and wanted to do the surgery back then. But for my own reasons, it took 4 more years to be confident to do the surgery.May be everything in life has to happen, when the time is right.I visited Midas clinic again on 21st Nov 2020, during covid situation. The clinic has taken all the precautions needed to handle the new normal and I felt very safe.Doctor has explained the procedures in detail and have asked me to take few tests prior to the surgery. Once the test results were all Ok, my surgery was scheduled on 28th Nov 2020.On the day of the surgery I have reached the clinic 8am and by 12:30 pm the entire procedure was done and I could return back to home.The surgery was done in local anesthesia and was done with very minimal pain.After 2 days the bandages were removed and since the stitches were self absorbing one, there was no necessity for stich removal. Second day itself my results were very satisfactorily, no visible scars.I was advised to wear compression vest for 6 weeks, which was not any in convenience. Gynecomastia,,,, I had this problem since my puberty were I can't were any T shirts and also some of the slimfit shirts when I were it looks Soo awkward and even I can't go for swimming with my friends but now for me it all changed. i had lived with grade 2 gyno issues for over 17 years and the condition had a ,major affect on every aspect of my teenage and adult life. the consultation by Dr Madhukumar was very detailed ,informative ,His detailed explanation on the procedure/surgery took away any concerns i had regarding the surgery since i had never gone under the knife before and the Doctor was very assuring .I had waited close to 2 decades to get rid of my condition and after finding someone like Dr madhukumar i couldn't wait any longer. The only regret I had with my treatment was why didn't I get this done 8 years ago. if you're thinking that working out can be an alternate solution, no, chest exercises can build your muscle beneath the extra tissue, it will still look bad. I am speaking from my personal experience. Now, if you have decided to get the surgery done. You can meet multiple doctors, search online, read reviews in Practo and what not. But, I'm sure, you'll end up reaching M. G. Madhukumar Sir. You can read all his reviews, all of them are positive. You can visit his website, you'll see so many cases and their before and after photos. This experience itself speaks volumes about Madhukumar Sir.Let me tell you my experience if you choose to go ahead with Madhukumar Sir. I, personally only did online research, read Sir's reviews and saw his website and decided that he will be the best Doctor for me. I didn't even consult any other doctor. I met him on a Wednesday, sir wrote some tests, got these tests done on Thursday, test's reports came on Friday and I had my surgery on Saturday morning itself. The surgery was about 90 minutes long, done under local anaesthesia. There was an anesthesia specialist present throughout the surgery. I personally did not feel anything that can be termed as pain. I could feel sensations like pressure and pulling of skin. The doctor kept talking to me and kept asking if I feel any pain or discomfort. I went empty stomach and had my lunch over the clinic. I came alone to the clinic and went back alone in a cab.There were a total of 4-5 visits after the surgery. My first visit was on the next Monday (2 days after the surgery) to get the bandage off. I took a bath on Monday itself. I didn't need to but I could have gone to my office from tuesday. I would suggest you take a leave for 2-3 days(4-5 days including the weekend) as there would be some discomfort and you should relax as much as you can. Sir told me to take pain killers for 3 days abut I stopped after 2 as I didn't feel any pain. The next visit will be after one week of the surgery to get those two small stitches off. Madhukumar Sir kept meeting me and ensured that the wound is healing properly and that I'm taking all the necessary precautions. I had to wear the compression vest for 6 weeks. It's just like a tight vest, won't concern you. Once or twice I remember getting irritated because it will get folds and sometimes it becomes uneasy to wear but that's nothing.After 6 weeks, I was completely satisfied with the results. The t-shirts look good now. I was even shirtless in front of one person, the person didn't notice anything, no scar, nothing. In fact, I was being praised for chest. I had reached from "You do have man boobs" to "you have a great chest" in 6 weeks. The only people who know about this surgery are my family and my flatmates, and I'm sure no one would even think that I went through a chest surgery.Once again, I would suggest you to get the surgery done, you probably have waited a lot, suffered a lot already.

I visited Doctor Madhukumar for Gynaecomastia surgery and would like to share my experience.

Anyone who has gynaecomastia can understand the difficulty of living with it. It is not a serious condition, but still manages to shatter the confidence. I read about this condition early on in my life, but thought that it could be treated by working out. At least that's what the gyms told me. It's almost impossible for a person to discuss about this with anyone, including family. I finally mustered up the courage to visit a doctor and get a professional opinion. I went through many portals and saw that Dr Madhukumar is highly recommended for this exact problem.

First Consultation : Dr Madhukumar had very strict covid protocols in place, which in turn made me feel more comfortable. He examined me and confirmed my condition and very patiently explained the probable causes and surgery options. He was honest and clear in his advise. He mentioned that this is not a medical urgency and there will no other implications apart from cosmetic issues. He showed a lot of examples and images and set my expectations right. It was clear that I will not be able to get rid of this issue completely, but we will work towards improving it significantly. He informed me about the post operative care and the compression garment that has to be worn. He also told me about all the possible complications that can happen and how we will handle them.

The thought of having a surgery freaked me out and I was worried about long term issues and about all the things that can go wrong. I thought that I can start gym again and lose some fat around the chest area and maybe that would be enough to hide it under a t-shirt. I saw no difference at all and finally one day I decided to book an appointment for surgery.

Surgery : Dr Madhukumar sent me a set of pre surgery instructions and was always available for any questions that I might have. The surgery went smooth and was mostly painless. Doctor kept me informed during the procedure about what he is doing and also if it will sting a bit. It took more than usual time in my case because of the amount of tissue removed. After the surgery he made me rest for a while and showed me how to wear the compression garment.

Post Surgery : I had to avoid lifting anything heavy for a few weeks and rest for a few days and wear the compression vest. If we follow all the instructions given by the doctor, there is minimal chance of complications. I had regular follow up appointment and the doctor did not charge for them. He was always available on whatsapp and answered my questions. I would panic that I have injured myself and have some complications and would send pictures to the doctor. He patiently replied to my every text. My family made sure that I was comfortable and did not have to lift a finger for anything. Without this support, recovery would have been unimaginable for me. I was able to work after 3-4 days.

Result : After a week or so, when the swelling reduced and I got a bit more comfortable, I was able to see significant improvement. I purchased a round neck t-shirt for the first time in my adult life. I am very happy that I went ahead with it and would recommend any person facing a similar problem to meet Dr Madhukumar if they are able to.

I had enquired dr. Madhu from Midas clinic about a year ago regarding gynacomastia surgery and procedures.

After that i have consulted many clinics, but i realised that i had wasted my lot of time as others are not giving right details and there reviews were also not satisfactory.

Local anaesthesia given in the presence of aneshthesiasist who has around 12 years of exp.

My surgery went for almost 1.5 hour and after that given breakfast. Dr, gave chest vests to wear 24/7 for next 6-8 weeks.

Surgery was not painful at all and after surgery also there was minimal pain for just few hours. It was very very minimal like a pin or stich. After that, i never felt any pain. This was very much comfortable and i was in totally awe of doctor , that, he performed surgery with all his dedication and perfection. His experience here totally worth it. I realised after surgery, that, all the reviews i read about doctor on internet are perfectly right and doctor deserves these comments as he is totally master in his work and very very calm and supportive . You will not feel even a single time that you are going to have a surgery, that much relax and comfortable environment.

After that, multiple visits for consultation and in every visit we took some photos of chest to compare with previos results. And evry time is was satisfactory.

Final results are so satisfactory that , i got all my confidence back. I can wear t-shirts, i can roam shirtless.

Dr. Madhukumar is an absolute professional. He diagnosed the situation and explained the solution clearly. He didn't sugar coat anything and got straight to the point about the surgery, post op care, possible risks etc.
